Our Story
The WineKitchen is the only independent winery restaurant within the acclaimed Marlborough wine region. Chef and owner Alain Hauswirth was born in Bern, Switzerland but has called Marlborough home for over 25 years. Classically trained, Alain is renowned for his ability to source premium seasonal produce and respect it from paddock to plate.
Prior to establishing The WineKitchen, Alain founded some of Marlborough’s iconic hospitality spots including Le Cafe, Figaros.
