In the recent years, Anthony has competed in Las Vegas and Atlantic City at the Caputo Cup and finished in the top 10 each time. Gaining confidence in his ability, Anthony then entered the World Pizza Championship, the largest pizza competition in Italy. The event, taking place in Naples, showcases pizzaiolos from over 20 countries. Anthony took first place in the Traditional American Division after altering one of the restaurants’ specialties to suit the Italian culture. Anthony’s journey to excellence is exactly why Romo’s Pizza is a success. Since its opening, the company has relocated three times across Glenmont Plaza to accommodate for such growth. The restaurant now offers a full, sit-down area for dining in addition to its takeout and delivery services. The pizzeria’s mission is to make each customer’s experience the best. The restaurant makes its sauces and dough fresh in-house daily, as well as many other menu items such as meatballs, mozzarella wedges, and buffalo rolls, to name a few.
